How It All Started
The Social Kitchen was born out of a simple belief: that food is most powerful when it brings people together. Founded in the heart of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, we set out to create a space that felt like home — warm, generous, and full of life.
Inspired by the raw energy of the falls themselves, and the warmth of the Zimbabwean people, every corner of The Social Kitchen reflects the spirit of this place. We cook with pride, serve with intention, and welcome with open arms.
We're not a corporate chain or a tourist trap — we are a neighbourhood restaurant, built by locals, for everyone.
"Food should make you
feel something."
— The Founders
What We Stand For
We source as much as possible from local farmers, growers, and producers. Supporting our community is not a marketing line — it's who we are.
No shortcuts, no gimmicks. Just real ingredients, prepared with skill and care by a team who genuinely loves food.
From solo travellers to multi-generational families, from business lunches to first dates — our table has room for you, always.
The Team
Behind every great dish is a team who cares deeply — about the food, about the guest, and about each other. We are chefs, servers, bartenders, and storytellers.
Many of our team members have been with us since day one, and that consistency of care is something you taste in every bite.
